Pinkie Pie Plushie by ButtercupBabyPPG Pinkie Pie Plushie by ButtercupBabyPPG
First test for my new pattern! I still have some tweaks to make, but overall what do you guys think?

This one's for a friend of mine so you're bound to see her around on my facebook page: www.facebook.com/mlwplushies and tumblr: mylittlewaifu.tumblr.com/

Some more views to compare with my old pattern:
buttercupbabyppg.deviantart.co…

Comments and critiques much appreciated!

Also, does anyone have any tips for satin stitching the lines in pinkie's hair? I managed to make it work with my Fluttershy but it was near impossible for her little loopy curls. :c

To satin stitch pinkie's hair its just about going reeeaally slowly.. and maybe using a thinner line than fluttershy's. I basically sew a couple stitches then turn, then sew a couple stitches then turn and repeat. Hope this helps! <3

WOW! :wow:
She is breathtakingly gorgeous! So show accurate, too!
The only thing I think that could be changed is making her ears bigger but that's it! Otherwise she's perfect!! I just wanna snuggle her!!
You never cease to amaze me.

Totally gotcha covered there, new ears are a better size. ^^ I have to admit, 13 inches is a much more cuddly size than 10.

This has got to be the happiest looking Pinkie plushie I have ever seen. She's just so accurate! It's scary! So scary that it's heart stopping adorable! I LOVE the head layout and making the legs go a bit more inward. It really makes a difference - although both original Fluttershy and updated Pinkie look AMAZING! I especially love that you took the photos against the dark purple fabric. It really brings out her vibrancy! Beautiful!

You did an awesome job, very skilled and detailed work. It's always nice to see plushies presented so nicely too, with more than a little effort to compose each shot and make sure the background and lighting all brought out the best. I love that great happy smile and the bouncy poses, as if she's about to spring into action. The other poses are fine too, but the excitability really adds the charm. The flexibility of different poses adds a lot too.

Is there armature/wire/etc. inside of her to hold the poses or do they work naturally with the kind of fill you used? Anyway, terrific work. :)

Thanks! Nope, no wire, just a mix of stuffing density and beanie pellets. She is a little hard to keep into poses, as she's floppy and her big hair can easily throw her off balance. With one of my next big ones I'm going to try to work in an armature though. :)

Somehow I think that Pinkie's hair constantly throwing her off-balance is perfectly in-character for her. :)

Very nice pattern! Very accurate as far as what I would imagine a real pony looking like or show accuracy. One of the best-if not the best- pinkie pie I've seen! Can't wait to see more with this pattern, with or with out tweaks :)

She's very cute!  Very nicely proportioned.

What do you do when you satin stitch?  I might be able to give some tips if I know what you are doing now.

Thank you! Hmm well I tried a few things. I tried a satin stitch a 2.0 and 2.5 stitch width, 2.0-3.0 stitch density. I used iron on tear away stabilizer on the back, and some wash away on the top, which I drew the guide lines on. I also used an open toe foot and an 80/12 universal needle, though I probably should have tried 75/11 too. I'm thinking maybe I should use more stabilizer/not tear away? And maybe less dense stitches? Going around the tight curves was pretty impossible. My lines were super lumpy and the fabric was buckling (is that the right word?) so it was bumpy and uneven, leaving me to believe the stabilizer just wasn't cutting it.
